North Carolina too much for Virginia Tech inside
Posted Jan 25, 2016
Virginia Tech was tied with the No. 2 basketball team in the land with less than three minutes to go, but the upset win eluded its grasp. UNC scored seven of the game’s final nine points to beat the Hokies 75-70 Sunday at Cassell Coliseum. The Tar Heels (18-2, 7-0 ACC), who won their 11th straight game, dominated inside. They outrebounded Buzz Williams’ team 48-33.
