UNC made shots, defended with urgency, pounded the boards and unlike Wednesday against Duke, didn’t let up when they got their opponent down. This time they responded with a second half so overwhelming that Miami coach Jim Larranaga pulled stars Sheldon McClellan, Angel Rodriguez and Tonye Jekiri with more than 10 minutes remaining.
