With a 76-72 victory, Marcus Paige’s Tar Heels did something special, locking up a regular season ACC title – the program’s first league crown of any kind since 2012 – and vanquishing the lingering demons from a tortured past against their arch rival. But Sherryl Paige experienced plenty of what kept her away, too, as UNC didn’t make anything easy.
