On a night when Marcus Paige’s backcourt mate, sophomore guard Joel Berry, earned ACC Tournament MVP honors, the defense Paige played on Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon also loomed large. “He’s one of the best five defensive guards that I’ve ever coached,” North Carolina coach Roy Williams said of Paige after the game.
