Roy Williams didn’t want Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige to have to endure the pain Paul Pierce and Jacques Vaughn once had to. And he didn’t want to have to face himself in the mirror this week the way he did in the aftermath of ’97. “I’m going to keep kicking at that door,” he said. “And one of these days, I’m going to kick that sucker down.” He’s kicked the sucker down.
