James Worthy still following mom's rules


will forever be remembered as “Big Game James” for his clutch performances. But his mom was a basketball champion long before him. She was a member of the Highland High School Ramlettes women’s basketball team, which won the North Carolina Athletic Conference title in 1949. Worthy even credits his mom for improving his jump shot. (Gaston Gazette)
