From Down Under: Tar Heels might look up at punts

In his search for a punter, North Carolina football coach Larry Fedora found a friend. “He calls me ‘Mate,’ ” Fedora said. He’s referring to Tom Sheldon, who has joined the punting competition with the Tar Heels this summer. He’s an Australian with no experience doing what the team might request of him. “Tom hasn’t played American football,” Fedora said.
