For Monmouth's King Rice, emotions may play a role at UNC
Posted Dec 26, 2016
This is not the first time King Rice will take his team to UNC (Wed., 7 PM, ESPNU), and it probably won't be the last. A generation ago, Rice patrolled Dean Smith's backcourt, helping push the 1991 Tar Heels to the Final Four. On New Year's Day 2012, Rice took his first Monmouth team to the Smith Center, complete with then-assistants Brian Reese and Derrick Phelps.
