For Monmouth coach King Rice, Wednesday’s 102-74 thrashing at the hands of UNC created a jagged set of feelings. On one hand, he was home. A quarter century ago, as a quick and heady point guard, he helped the Tar Heels to two ACC titles and a Final Four. Later, as an aspiring college coach, he returned to learn under the man who had recruited him, Roy Williams.
