There’s a theory that athletes suddenly come alive for lame-duck coaches; talent and passion that’s been missing for an entire season suddenly appears when they realize their coach is soon to be gone. With North Carolina coach John Bunting on that endangered species list, Wake Forest counterpart Jim Grobe is among those who believe in the hypothesis going into Saturday’s game at Chapel Hill.
