Ninth-ranked North Carolina, which lost to the unranked Yellow Jackets to open conference play, avoided a similar fate against the Hokies putting together one of the season’s most complete efforts and backing up their status as the ACC’s current top dog. “It’s the middle of the season, teams get lackadaisical,” Tar Heels center Kennedy Meeks said.
