How Luke Maye, UNC's surprising star, went from afterthought to hero

Luke Maye's breakthrough in basketball came in his sophomore season when Hough beat a West Charlotte High team led by current Tar Heels teammate Kennedy Meeks in the state playoffs. Despite being two years younger Maye was one of the few players who could box out Meeks, who finished with 12 points while Maye turned in 19 points and 14 rebounds.
