NCAA notebook: Big bodies could merge in the middle

There should be no problem filling the lane in tonight’s national championship game between North Carolina and Gonzaga. UNC senior Kennedy Meeks has been a force in the lane in the NCAA Tournament. At 6-foot-10 and 260 pounds, he’s tough around the basket. But Gonzaga will have 7-1, 300-pound senior Przemek Karnowski patrolling the middle.
