Ex-Heel Mitchell now at ECU
Posted Sep 1, 2006
Former North Carolina defensive tackle Khalif Mitchell has transferred to East Carolina. "He did transfer into the program," said Tom McClellan, the Pirates' director of media relations. Mitchell spent his two seasons at UNC as a reserve defensive lineman. But he left a lasting mark as a freshman in 2004 with one of the biggest tackles in the history of Kenan Stadium, helping the Tar Heels defeat N.C. State 30-24.
