Oakland's Ronald Curry, the former North Carolina star who is trying to come back from an Achilles tendon injury, was placed on the physically unable to perform list Monday. Coach Art Shell said Curry will miss the team's first training camp practice in pads today in Napa, Calif. Shell said Curry, who tore his left Achilles tendon in the second game last season, is not quite up to full speed yet. Curry, who played quarterback for the Tar Heels, will compete for the No. 3 receiver spot behind Randy Moss and Jerry Porter.
