Dooley Feeling Fine After April Scare
Posted Jul 21, 2006
Bill Dooley called this week to say he’s looking forward to attending the reunion for the 1971-72 ACC Championship teams Sept. 15-16 and that he’s recovering nicely from emergency surgery in April for an aortic aneurysm. “I’m doing well,” said Dooley, the Tar Heel coach from 1967-77. “Now all I have to do is follow the rehab program they’ve outlined for me. I was lucky to be so close to a great hospital with great doctors.”
