Terry Sanford’s Chavis picks North Carolina

When Miguel Chavis entered the ninth grade at High School, he envisioned a future in college basketball like his older brother, Aaron. Aaron Chavis, a 1997 graduate, went on to a four-year basketball career at UNC-Greensboro. But Miguel Chavis’ plans changed after his freshman year. He joined the football team as a sophomore and by the end of the 2005 season had received his first college scholarship offer from North Carolina. (Fayetteville Observer)
