Torbush: It took long time to get here
Posted Jul 13, 2006
Carson-Newman College football coach Ken Sparks said Carl Torbush easily could be coaching elsewhere. Torbush already has been a head coach at North Carolina and a defensive coordinator at Alabama and Texas A&M. Torbush and Sparks agreed Wednesday afternoon that Carson-Newman is where the Lord wants Torbush to be. Sparks announced Torbush as C-N's assistant head coach and linebackers coach at a press conference on the 50-yard line at Burke-Tarr Stadium.
