Current, former players remember Walker

To Doug Paschal, a former standout fullback at UNC, Walker was more than his ex-running backs coach. He also was a close friend and "role model." "I just visited him two weeks ago,'' a shocked and saddened Paschal said Thursday. "He was a special person and meant a lot to me and my family." At Carolina, Paschal remembered Walker, then a young coach, as one who "demanded perfection on and off the field" and said players who embraced his system usually flourished.
