Saturday News & Notes:

Tough loss for the Tar Heels against NC State yesterday. Here's what coaches and Kevin Keatts had to say following the game. And video of Roy's press conference if you'd prefer to watch.

Several basketball recruits attended the game, including 2019 PF , 2018 invited-walkon PG , and 2018 PG signee Rechon Black. These were all unofficial visits.

It was also a big football recruiting weekend, and several top recruits attended the game as part of Junior Weekend. Here's a photo gallery of the recruits.

In other recruting news, 2019 UNC PG commit gave an update on his left knee injury, which he says is at about 65% recovered. Francis hopes to make it back by the end of the season.

Huge congratulations to 2018 UNC signee who just became the state of North Carolina's all-time high school scoring leader (3,325 pts.), surpassing one-time UNC commit JamesOn Curry.

is scheduled to be back on the recruiting trail tonight in Cleveland, Ohio, watching 2019 PF .

Today in UNC History:

January 28, 2009
Point guard hits a running 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Tar Heels an 80-77 win over Florida State in Tallahassee. Has it really been nine years?!?

Thought for the Day:

I never looked at the consequences of missing a big shot. When you think about the consequences you always think of a negative result. --

Photo of the Day:

This must be an obvious trolling attempt by the Philadelphia 76ers because I don't see any "former" Tar Heels in this photo. There's life-long Tar Heel and some fella. A lot of the comments on this photo are hilarious.
