Scott Forbes evaluates how confident he is in UNC's starting rotation behind Jason DeCaro
Entering the 2025 college baseball season, UNC Tar Heels head coach
Scott Forbes knows that he has a special member of his rotation in
Jason DeCaro. The questions, however, begin with who he’ll turn to in the rotation after that. As Forbes recently explained, while he doesn’t want to have to deal with injuries, he is confident in his team’s depth. (

After lopsided loss to Duke, struggling UNC running out of time to salvage season
North Carolina is 13-10 overall, 6-5 in the
ACC standings and in danger of missing the most important event in the sport for the second time in three seasons. The Tar Heels never had a chance against the Blue Devils, who led 23-6 less than seven minutes in and didn't look back. North Carolina never led. Perhaps the worst part: It was kind of expected. (

UNC-Duke rivalry almost always delivers, but it didn’t this time. Not that we should be surprised
As rivalries go, Duke-North Carolina basketball almost always delivers. With an emphasis on almost. Because even in a matchup so balanced that each team had scored exactly the same number of points in regulation play (1,099) over their past 14 meetings at Cameron Indoor Stadium before Saturday, there’s bound to be an outlier. Rob's Takeaways: Talent Disparity; Buy-In; Inflection Point
We knew there was a disparity in the talent levels. Everyone knew that. It's been obvious all year, but the disparity was alarming to me. Carolina swept them last year. There's going to be volatility from year to year, especially with the portal. Carolina should never be that far behind them, where they can't even be competitive for five or 10 minutes. (

Art’s Angle: Don’t Cry
Don’t cry, Carolina alumni and fans. It’s only one basketball game — albeit a poorly played one by the Tar Heels. Remember 11 months ago, when they had
Armando Bacot and better transfers and clinched the ACC regular season at Cameron Indoor Stadium? Saturday’s drubbing at Duke was predictable, given the Blue Devils’ depth, size, and talent. (

Duke's First-Half Defense Leaves Tar Heels With Nowhere To Go
When making passes through the defense, looking for driving lanes, or trying to get off a good shot, UNC's guards often had nowhere to go.
