Alex Stepheson could hear soon about eligibility for USC basketball team

Alex Stepheson, who recently transferred from North Carolina, could hear from the NCAA about his eligibility for the coming season within two or three weeks. The forward faces sitting out a season but is trying to obtain a waiver because his father suffers from an undisclosed illness that prompted Stepheson's move to be closer to the family's Southern California home.
