An MRI exam at UNC Hospitals Sunday revealed a torn anterior-cruciate ligament and a torn medial-collateral ligament. The test confirmed the initial diagnosis made Saturday by the UNC Sports Medicine program after Tate was injured in a game against Notre Dame.
