Tracking History: Antawn Jamison
Posted Dec 17, 2008
Charlie Scott couldn’t control that he was unable to play more than three seasons of basketball at North Carolina because freshmen weren’t eligible. Antawn Jamison could, and he opted for the NBA following his junior year. Jamison - whose last moment as a Tar Heel was spent bending over and delivering a kiss to the floor at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, after Carolina was surprisingly eliminated in the national semifinals by Utah in 1998 - has turned in a pretty good pro career. But he won’t leave much of a legacy there.
