Cherry on top: Scott Cherry climbing college coaching ranks

Starting out as the boys JV head coach and assistant varsity coach for the 1997-98 season at Bishop McGuinness High School in North Carolina, Scott Cherry soon made his way up the coaching ladder and out of the high school ranks. He became an assistant women’s coach at Middle Tennessee the following year, then landed on the George Mason coaching staff for four seasons, where his success could not be ignored.
