Scott Cherry Named High Point Head Coach

After 10 seasons as an assistant, Scott Cherry is now a head coach, hired as the boss at High Point University. Cherry, who becomes the 11th head basketball coach in HPU history, joins the Panther program after serving as an assistant coach at the South Carolina this past season. A former player at UNC, Cherry also had assistant coaching stints at Western Kentucky, George Mason and Tennessee Tech.
