Cleveland Cavaliers call up Jawad Williams

The Cleveland Cavaliers have called up Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Jawad Williams. He is expected to sign a contract for the rest of the NBA season on Thursday. Williams, who arrived in Cleveland on Tuesday, averaged 25.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the floor and 41.8 percent on 3-pointers in 19 games with the Vipers. He was recently named the D-League's player of the month for March. (The Monitor)
