North Carolina has never had a better trio than the group that led it to the 1982 national championship. And it’s very unlikely it will ever put three players on the floor at the same time as lethal and historic as James Worthy, Sam Perkins and Michael Jordan. That was the main trio that guided UNC to Dean Smith’s first national championship – a 63-62 victory over Georgetown before a crowd of more than 62,000 in New Orleans. (Buster Sports)
