Lakers GM Kupchak deserves to take a bow, even though he'll never do so

There will be nothing exciting about this column. No big words, no pretty phrasing nor dramatic imagery. As an ode to its subject, the Lakers' patiently virtuous and unassuming general manager Mitch Kupchak, who quietly reached the pinnacle of his career last Sunday as the Lakers won the NBA title, anything that distracts from the goal of this column will be edited out.
