Year Three Begins For T.J. Yates
Posted Sep 2, 2009
Saturday night, T.J. Yates will step under center for Butch Davis' Tar Heels. A redshirt junior, Yates represents the kind of consistency at quarterback that the team has been searching for since Darian Durant ran the offense. In 2007, Yates won the starting job after a position battle with Cameron Sexton, and went on to pass for a single-season school record of 2,655 yards.
