'Breakthrough' victory for Tony Shaver's William and Mary men's basketball team
Posted Nov 30, 2009
The Tribe beat the Deacons without sophomore guard Kendrix Brown, who is still on the mend with a preseason foot injury, and without center Steven Hess, who was sidelined with an infected elbow. Injuries and absences limited the Tribe to eight players versus Wake Forest. "A lot of people will be surprised when they see this score," said William and Mary coach Tony Shaver, whose team led nearly the entire way.
