From a basketball standpoint, Alex Stepheson is a victim of bad timing. He had to sit out last year under NCAA rules and missed playing on the Trojans’ Pac 10 tournament championship team. (The Heels, meanwhile, won the national title.) Those nasty rules struck again this season when the USC administration, fearing the hand of justice from the NCAA, banned the Trojans from the 2010 NCAA tournament. (ACC Sports Journal)
