Nuggets Coach George Karl Has Skin Cancer of the Head and Neck

Denver Nuggets coach George Karl has been diagnosed with skin cancer of the head and neck, the NBA team said. Karl, 58, said he expects to miss some practices and games while he undergoes treatment for squamous cell cancer. “The support I’ve received from my family, the Nuggets organization and my friends in the basketball community already has been incredible,” Karl said yesterday.
