Larry Brown is tied to everything in the NBA

For 29 years (and not all of them 12-69 awful) the Nets made the Meadowlands their home, won four division titles and went to the playoffs 15 times. And wouldn't you know, Bobcats coach Larry Brown is connected. He was head coach of the Nets when the doors opened on October 30, 1981 in a loss to the Knicks. And he was a head coach last night in the last game ever played in the building.
