Jason Capel named coach at Appalachian State

"I'm following in the family business,'' Jason Capel said in a telephone interview from Boone. "It feels good.'' He was referring to the fact that older brother Jeff III is coach at Oklahoma, while father Jeff Jr. is an assistant coach with the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. "I'm very thankful to my family, and incredibly thankful to the Appalachian State family for giving me this opportunity,'' he said. "I'm very humble.'' (Fayetteville Observer)
