Dante Calabria hoops camp a rousing success

Forty-five future basketball stars from Burke County benefited from a rare opportunity to get three hours of hands-on instruction from one of UNC’s all-time shooting legends on Friday. The Dante Calabria Basketball Academy offered a dozen girls and 33 boys, age fourth grade and up, a three-hour program where skills were enhanced by a very qualified staff of instructors at the Morganton Rec Center’s Gym.
