From time management to team structure, most of what UNCW coach Buzz Peterson does he learned from Dean Smith, the legend he played for at North Carolina, who recruited blue-chip talent and forged those individuals into a championship caliber team as consistently as any college coach in history. The Tar Heels won 115 games and a national championship during Peterson's four years in Chapel Hill.
