With cancer in play, George Karl balances trials in basketball, life

Cancer has elbowed its way into George Karl's life, boxed him out and knocked him to the floor and stepped on him on its way to the rim -- with no call, no mercy. But Karl was not going to stay down for long. "The battles I fight in the NBA now are easy compared to my goals and my ambitions of being a great father, a great grandpa, and to live on this Earth for a long time," Karl said.
