Triangle trio can relate to Patriots' journey

Somewhere on the Chapel Hill campus all those years ago, who knows, Tommy Kearns may even have spotted a small boy at play, a toddler named Bill Belichick. Now, as Kearns watches Belichick's New England Patriots try to win all of their football games this season, the former UNC basketball star sees more than parallels to his own joyous run to perfection. He is reminded of how small the world is, of having known Belichick's father.
