Rick Duckett lands job at Tennessee State

Rick Duckett, a Winston-Salem native and a former head coach at Winston-Salem State, has been named an assistant basketball coach at Tennessee State. Duckett, who graduated from North Carolina in 1979, started out as a student manager for Dean Smith before getting into coaching as a graduate assistant with the Tar Heels. Tennessee State plays at North Carolina on Nov. 24.
