Dante Calabria joins Buzz Peterson’s staff at UNCW

The worst kept secret in Wilmington became official on Wednesday morning, when UNCW named Dante Calabria director of basketball operations. Calabria, 37, played for Dean Smith at North Carolina from 1992-96 and just completed a 15-year professional career in Europe. He’s lived in Wilmington, during the summer, since 2000.
