Giovani Bernard's big day leads UNC past Pack
Posted Oct 28, 2012
With 30 seconds left, Giovani Bernard decided to put himself in the game. “I kind of waved somebody off. I told (teammate Roy Smith), ‘Let me try to see what I can do with this one,’” Bernard said. Those words can echo into the history books. Seventeen seconds later, the sophomore sent his team’s sideline and the crowd into mass hysteria with a 74-yard punt return, delivering a 43-35 victory against N.C. State.
