UNC's Wright gets focused on NBA Draft
Posted Jun 11, 2007
Brandan Wright probably would have turned pro straight out of high school, but the option wasn't available to him. So the 6-foot-10, 210-pound forward spent a season at North Carolina, and it worked out well for both parties. Wright was named the ACC Freshman of the Year after averaging 14.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks and shooting a conference-leading .646 from the floor. The Tar Heels went 31-7 and were stopped one game short of the Final Four when they fell to Georgetown in overtime.
