Following back-to-back nights of triple-overtime excitement, the players on the 1957 UNC basketball team just wanted to grab a beer and head to bed. Coach Frank McGuire had other plans. He wanted them to talk to the fans and press that had gathered in the main ballroom, and also with a few invitees later in McGuire's hotel suite. One of those invitees was Governor Hodges, and another was Dean Smith. So that's what they did.
