Gene Chizik tasked with revamping UNC defense

When the time came for UNC coach Larry Fedora to make defensive staff changes, he figured he would try the biggest long shot on his list of potential hires. Though he had never worked with Gene Chizik, the two competed against each other at various stops throughout their careers. Fedora the offensive coordinator, going against Chizik, the defensive coordinator. Fedora had no idea whether Chizik would even listen.
