Tom Zaliagiris passes away
Posted Jan 30, 2007
We've been informed that former Tar Heel Tom Zaliagiris passed away this weekend from a freak injury suffered at his home. He played for Dean Smith's teams from 1975-78 and averaged 9.3 points in his senior season. Many in the state got to know him after his career as he worked in the furniture industry, most recently with Southwood Furniture Corporation. We send our best wishes to his family.
