UNC Softball (13-2) ended up on the right side of a pitcher's duel Wednesday, defeating Oakland University 1-0. Sophomore pitcher Kenna Raye Dark picked up her third win of the season in the circle, throwing a complete-game shutout, tallying six strikeouts and allowing just six hits. UNC Softball Slugs 21-1 Victory Over NC Central
UNC Softball (12-2) slugged its way to a 21-1 victory over NCCU on Tuesday, hitting five home runs by three different Tar Heels and tallying 16 hits. Sanaa Thompson Named ACC Softball Player Of The Week
After helping lead the UNC Softball team to a 6-1 record last week, freshman Sanaa Thompson has been named ACC Player of the Week. Thompson had a blazing hot week at the plate with a .632 batting average, tallying 12 hits, nine RBIs and two home runs, while leading Carolina in slugging (1.053), on-base percentage (.640), runs (11) and walks (6).
